Director's Welcome Address

Dr. Kunle Babaremu

It is with heartfelt gratitude and reverence that I give this remark as the Director of the International School of Ministry (ISM). Serving in this privileged office has been a sacred trust, one that I do not take for granted.

I am deeply grateful to Apostle Femi Lazarus, our beloved Principal for the privilege to serve in this capacity. His visionary leadership continues to shape the direction and impact of this great institution.

For many years, the International School of Ministry has been burdened with a divine assignment to raise ministers who are not only

passionate about their calling but equipped, rooted, and enduring. We are committed to raising men and women of God who will stand the test of time, ministering with accuracy, depth, and integrity.

At ISM, we believe that ministry is not accidental but intentional. It demands training, structure, and spiritual discipline. Thus, our curriculum emphasizes a research-based approach to ministry, an approach that not only informs but transforms. We must know that ministers are custodians of divine truth, and our effectiveness depends on how diligently we study and rightly divide the Word of God in alignment with Apostle Paul’s admonition in 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV).

At the International School of Ministry, we teach that ministry and integrity are inseparable. A minister must embody the heart of a servant and the mind of a scholar. We encourage every minister to embrace the following virtues:

  1. Integrity: speaking the truth in love, report findings honestly, and handle Scripture with care. 2 Corinthians 8:21 (KJV)
  2. Spiritual Sensitivity: Depend on the Holy Spirit for illumination and insight. John 16:13 (ESV)
  3. Diligence in Study: Prioritize preparation as an act of worship. 1 Timothy 4:13,15 (NKJV)
  4. Clarity in Communication: Avoid ambiguity in teaching, preaching, and writing.

Ministry is not about eloquence but lasting impact. Therefore, our sermons, teachings, and writings must outlive us and bless generations to come. “One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4 (KJV)

When you begin to perceive the call of God upon your life, it is not a validation to storm out. It is an invitation for intimacy with God and deliberate training in the direction of your calling. Ministry is work, and every minister must treat it as such. See to it that you focus on the work that has been committed into your hands and fulfill it.

God bless the International School of Ministry, her alumni, students, and every partner in this divine vision.
